Review: Rock and Ash Restaurant ? NEWSPRINT

Don?t be swayed by the clutter of credentials on the doors of restaurants. Rock and Ash restaurant cuts right through the hype to capture stomachs. Yes, that?s right. Especially if you are the type who loves to eat the humble pie (no pun intended!), Rock and Ash restaurant is the place to go.

Besides, Rock and Ash restaurant serves excellent cuisines at great prices, price-conscious patrons would not feel the pinch.

At Rock and Ash restaurant, patrons are treated to a spread of Western and Asian cuisines. From the tasty grilled chicken with black pepper udon noodles to crispy German pork knuckle, a hearty feast awaits. Be prepared to whet your appetite for more goodies to come.

The Vibe:

Located in Marina Square shopping centre, Rock and Ash restaurant boasts a modern, cosy ambience perfect for long-lost friends to chat up with over food and drinks. The restaurant also features a fast food counter right at its entrance and an enclosed dining hall by its side. It?s time you cosy up at Rock and Ash restaurant for a change.

Regrettably, Rock and Ash restaurant dining hall lends its concept from Starbucks Caf?. The interior d?cor, colour scheme and table and chairs resemble those of the popular American coffee joint, first-time patrons to Rock and Ash restaurant would have thought the restaurant to be Starbucks Caf?.

The Food:

We tried the Brits? favourite Signature Fish and Chips, which turned out appetising and surprisingly big in size. A slice of pan-fried dory fish fillet is served with a mound of chips and coleslaw on a porcelain plate. What we loved most was that the fish is crispy on the outside and tender inside, which makes it both crispy and chewy. We give it two thumbs up for that.

Pork knuckle fans don?t disappoint. The pork knuckle served at Rock and Ash restaurant is to die-for. You will regret not trying, because Rock and Ash restaurant serves excellent pork knuckles that are crispy and juicy.

If you are a fan of fusion cuisines, NEWSPRINT recommends you to try the Tom Yum soup, Japanese Curry Chicken with rice and Emperor Chicken Cutlet.

Coffee lovers too, have their fair share of rocking caffeinated drinks. Rock and Ash restaurant brings you its peppermint coffee ? an all-time favourite drink to have. The peppermint coffee is a refreshing drink; it cools and soothes agitated nerves. Patrons who have been shouldering the weight of the world will instantly feel relaxed and at ease.

Oh, don?t forget to try the coffee late, mocha and white chocolate; these drinks are a must to try.
